BT have advised there will be a firmware upgrade for Yealink W80 devices working on the BT WHC platform. The update will be implemented between 18:00 (UK Time) and 21:00 (UK time) on Wednesday 12 November 2025.
They are updating Yealink W80DM, base station and handsets to firmware version 87. Configuration update will Replace SCA button on home screen with Line, This will bring W80 handsets in line with other Yealink DECT devices connected to WHC.
No manual intervention is needed if your devices are already registered with the WHC system. However, it is recommended to verify that your devices are connected to the network and properly registered.
This will cause no issues with the operation of the phones during this time and devices will update automatically on their polling day,
